Here is where I shall give credit where credit is due.

Ancient Greek Cities. I found this site while trying to find a certain city. It could prove to be a very helpful link as it lists cities, what there were famous for, and gives some brief historic information. Definataly worth a visit. Especially if you need help deciding where a character would like to come from or live, or make a accurate backround/history.
