Xena woke a bit before dawn to get a jump start on the day. She had packed up early. She herself had led the way to a new destination, keeping a weary eye out for anyone that might be looking for Kara; not that she was afraid of that. What, with her own skills among the current company.

Hercules walked over to Xena after looking around and walking for a bit. "Xena, can we talk? It's really is important" he said as he looked at her and sighed. He waited for her reply as he really did need to speak to her about something. Hercules wasn't sure how she was going to take it but still he had to speak to her no matter what.

A few things were running through Xena's mind as they walked along. Solan, Ares, Kara; to name just a few. Also in the way reaches of her mind was Hercules. The situation was a little awkward, but Xena never dealt with awkward. She either came straight to the point, as she had never found the bush she was supposed to beat around, or she simply tried to shrug things off. Good thing 'what's his name' was not around.
"Xena, can we talk? It's really is important."
Sooner or later... Xena thought.
She looked at Hercules. "What's on your mind?"

Hercules looked at her and sighed as he hoped that she was fine. As she looked at him and said the next he looked down then back at her. "We might have a problem. I found behind us some trails of horses. My guess is we are being followed. I don't think it's the ones Kara runs from but I am not really sure so."He said as he looked around then back at her. "It is at least 12 to 20 if not more horse trails. Also, Hades see up to something. I found some things behind us when I stayed behind and it seems like it has a lot to do with Hades"

Kara had been walking in silence since she had awakened, thinking to herself that she might have gotten herself ever so slightly out of her depth. The idea of escaping had been such a remote possibility that she hadn't given it any thought so now that she was, at least temporarily, a free woman she had no idea what to do.
At least the outfit and hairstyle that Aphrodite had provided made her look next to nothing like the woman that her former owner would be looking for but she felt practically naked without at least a knife to protect herself and Aphrodite's gifts looked like they would be impractical at best if it came down to hand to hand combat.
She glanced at Herc and Xena as they discussed who or what may have been following them. The thought that being outnumbered two to one by people on horseback was a little frightening but she had fought against similar odds in the arena and survived, although mostly by luck. Guessing that things would happen no matter how much she worried about it Kara continued to listen.

"One of the first things a warrior learns is to be aware of ones surroundings." Xena stated flat out. Not that she was putting Hercules down or anything. She welcomed his advice and input. In her own way she was just simply saying that she knew they weren't alone. Though this news about Hades was new. Xena didn't interact much at all with any other gods and goddesses other than Ares and Aphrodite, and it was they who sought her out. Hercules being half mortal, well it came as no surprise that he would know what and when the gods were up to something.
"Maybe one of us should double back." Xena suggested as she turned her eyes to Kara. She eyed the girl once more. Xena then decided something. She gently made Argo come to a stop, reached inside one of the bags, and pulled out a dagger. It was the type that could be worn about the waist. "Kara, how are you at handling one of these?"

"I know just thought I should let you know anyway" he looked at her as he said this then he looked around and back at her. Hercules understood that she was putting him down just stating a fact. He knew her well enough to know that he just figured that he should let her know anyway, must in case she was to distracted to notice or something like that. Hercules wasn't sure if she knew or not that Hades was up to something so he figured he had to tell her anyway. Just in case she had no idea.
"That is a good ideas, it would definitely help us stop them while the others kept moving. "he looked at her then towards Kara with Xena as he wondered what was she planning in that smart head of hers. Hercules watched what she did and picked up an eye brow as he figured what she might have been planning but wasn't sure. As he heard her speak to Kara he shock his head. "Are you sure about that, Xena?"

Xena looked back to Hercules. "Sure I'm sure." Came her short simple reply. There was hardly a time Xena was unsure what to do. It did happen every now an then; being unsure, but now was not one of those times. "Something is going to happen. You know that, and so do I." The more help the better. Hearing Kara's story last night, well she figured the girl could hold her own if she had to. Besides, she had not tried anything funny...yet.
Now looking to both. "I'll be the one to double back." Xena stated as she placed Argo's reigns in Hercules hand. Xena never trusted anyone with Argo. It was rare, and people knew that. So, Xena figured if Hercules took Argo, the people following would think that she was still with Hercules and Kara. They'd be more unsuspecting. Naturally she was expecting Hercules to protest. They both could be very stubborn, and wanted to keep the other away from danger.

Hercules looked at her and sighed as he listened to her. He nodded in understanding. "Well if you are sure then it works for me" he replied to her shortly as well. Hercules that there were only rare cases when she wasn't sure but he wanted to know for sure so. "Yeah that is true but I just don't want anyone to get hurt. We don't know how good of a fighter she really is, not that we have time to check but can we trust that she will handle the ones who are following us and about to attack us?" he agreed that they needed more help since more help was better if that what she was getting at, which he was sure that it was. After the story Kara told them it made sense to try and get her help. The girl so far seemed trust worthy but he wasn't sure about the whole situation, something was off by the whole thing but he said nothing about that for now.
Hercules watched both as he noticed that Xena looked between the two of them. "Xena......" he started. "Let me do that, alright? It would be safer and better. You are pregnant remember? I am not so I can handle it" Hercules continued. He tried to give her back Argo's Reigns. He knew that she never trusted anyone with Argo so he knew what she was planning or so he thought but he couldn't let her do that. Hercules knew that it was only on rare occasions such as this when she trusted others with Argo but he was worried. That part didn't make him worry less at all. Hercules knew that this way the people that followed them would think that she was still with them but he couldn't let her do that. He cared and loved her to much to let her do that. Even if the followers won't expect her he still couldn't let her do that. Hercules knew that she expected him to protest with a good reason as that plan was dangerous and bad or so he thought anyway. They both were stubborn and wanted to protect the other from danger and he doubted that it would ever change.

Xena folded her arms across her chest as she looked Hercules in the eyes. She did not want anyone to get hurt either. She also didn't know how good of a fighter Kara was either, however, Xena was the one that dressed the girls wounds last night as well as talked to her. Kara was right about the blood belonging more so to others than herself.
"Hercules, you trusted me to fight on your side once, even what happened the first time. How is this any different?" Xena questioned in a stern, quiet tone. She didn't want Kara to hear that part.
"Xena......" And here comes the protest. "Let me do that, alright? It would be safer and better. You are pregnant remember? I am not so I can handle it"
"Of course you're not pregnant. You don't have the stomach for it." Xena semi joked. Serious now. "Just because I'm with child dose not make me an invalid. I'm going, and you can't stop me, or change my mind." That said Xena started to make her way to double back.

Kara smiled and took the knife from Xena, testing it's weight as Xena and Herc spoke, not sure either to interrupt or not. Smiling as she realized that the knife was practically perfectly balanced for her.
She frowned as a thought occurred to her. "Surely he's more likely to double back on foot without being spotted than anyone on horseback". She smiled. "Just a thought".

Hercules looked between the two and sighed as he watched them both and then when Xena turned to leave he followed her. He heard what she said just as he heard what Kara said but he couldn't let Xena do that either way. "Xena, it will kill me if anything bad happened to you. So please me go instead of you. It would be better trust me" he looked at her as he said that then he put his hand on her shoulder. "Xena, please let me do that as I can't risk you and I won't. Besides won't it be better if I dealt with the whole thing then you? I can't let you do that. "Hercules looked down then back at her. He couldn't effort letting her go as it really did scare the hell out of him because she was pregnant and he didn't wish her to get hurt just as he didn't wish anything else that to happen. He wanted to do them for them all and included to her. "No you are not invalid but I still would feel safe if you stayed here and I went back to make sure that they lose us and that we could keep walking forward" Hercules sighed after he said this.

He followed her. And it was expected. All his points Xena did not agree with, as her points she knew he would not agree with. There was one card though that Xena could play still. It was the reason that they were going to argue about this matter. Love. Xena had told Hercules before she had rode off to make up for all the suffering that she had caused in her past, that he had unchained her heart. Just as Xena was going to play her card, she took hold her chakrum, turned, and threw her weapon at an in coming arrow! It split the thing in two before returning to her hand. "Something tells me they are no longer just behind."
Xena said with excitment shining in her eyes. Though she fought for good now, that did not mean Xena could not get invigorated by a battle. It was part of her, and she was a warrior in the truest sense of the word. Xena put her fingers to her lips and gave a whistle at a certain pitch instructing Argo to gallop away. "See to Kara."

Hercules had a feeling that they were not going to agree on it at all as he knew Xena very well as he was sure that she knew him very well too, to know that. He had a feeling that there was a certain card she was going to play on him because if not then she was going to agreed to disagree and stay behind which she didn't. Hercules watched her do the next thing as he just sighed to that. He watched as the chakrum came back to her after breaking an arrow into two pieces. "I got to agree with that, if they were only behind us from the start to begin with"
Hercules noticed the excitement in her voice as he understood why. He knew that she loved fighting even if she was good or evil. Also Hercules knew that she was goo it still didn't surprise him as she was the kind of person who enjoyed a good fight no matter what. He knew that it was part of her just as being demigod was part of him. Hercules watch her put her fingers in her lips and whistle. He sighed as he listened to her but agreed anyway. "Alright you won but don't dare getting hurt or dying on me. I would hate loosing you, Xena."

Xena lightly smirked. "Whatever you say." Xena replied as she dashed frontwards, jumped, doing a flip. "Shhe-Ya!" Xena swiftly drew her sword as she landed in front of an archer. "Care to play?" Was Xena's rhetorical question as she used her leg to slip the bow from his hand. Others advanced, and Xena went abouts to fighting them. Exhilaration came from it all. She knew not who these people were or why they were after, but they'd find out soon enough.
