Once, Talbania's king had a grudge against Aura, and convinced Dene, which was a sub-state of Aura, to rebel in a bid for independence. Since they needed more power, they convinced Gladia to join their side while Celes remained neutral. Glendan allied with Aura to prevent it from being overwhelmed. Glendan and Aura would have one had Talbania not approached ag roup of mages known as the 'Atrian Order' and acquired their aid. The Atrian Order did its job, but did it too well.
All soldiers in the every battle were anniahlated, and the magic the Order used drained energy from the land itself, cutting off the flow of energy to it at the same time. Thus, Aura fell and became Atra. When the king of Talbania grew angry with the Order and attacked (because he could not use Atra's lands), they killed him and vanished. Centuries later, no one remember s the full truth of the uprising, and the sorcerors are dismissed as folk tales.
At the present time, ghosts of the past are appearing. Restless souls who were unable to move on due to past regrets. And an ancient evil surfaces, seeking to finish what the Atrian order started and drain all life from the planet... where will you be, in this war-torn world?
